This video was shot by Everett School Board member Jessica Olson on Tuesday, Aug. 23, during an executive session regarding a job performance review of Superintendent Gary Cohn. At 0:18 and 3:55, Olson’s recording is physically disrupted by board president Ed Petersen (at left in most of the video, in blue shirt), who says he was trying to turn the recorder off. Other visible board members are Jeff Russell (center) and Carol Andrews (right). The fracas followed a long and divisive public portion of the meeting which lasted three-and-a-half hours and featured fiery denunciations of Olson by others on the board. Q&A: What are some unique and interesting things to do in Seattle for vacation?
Question by KatGuy: What are some unique and interesting things to do in Seattle for vacation?
I’ve already been on a previous trip to the aquarium, Space Needle, Pike market, and the typical sights. If I spend 3 days in Seattle, what are some more things I could do?

Go paddling through the arboretum. Rent a canoe at the UW boating center near husky stadium.
Walk through the neighborhoods – favorites are Fremont and Ballard. If you are here on a sunday, visit the sunday farmer’s market. Nothing says Seattle than Farmer’s market.
Take a day trip to either Northwest Trek or to Olympic Game Farm in Sequim. Fun!
Drive to Snoqualmie Falls and hike down to the bottom of the falls.

What are some interesting things to do in Seattle?
Question by Riot Rocker: What are some interesting things to do in Seattle?
My roommate and I are staying at a hostel in Seattle during our spring break. Anybody have some interesting ideas as to what to do in Seattle besides going to Pike’s Place and doing the usual tourist stuff?
Btw, we’re both over 18, but under 21 so please list venues and activities that we can attend. Thank you so much!

By the “usual tourist” stuff I presume you mean the Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center, the Experience Music Project, Pioneer Square and the Underground Tour, the ferries across the Sound, etc.
I like to do what the locals do. If the weather is good, why not head to Green Lake, walk the flat, easy, 3 mile path around the lake and do some people-watching? There’ll be lots of joggers, bicyclists, walkers, and (if its warm enough) sunbathers.Nearby, too, is the Woodland Park Zoo (and it’s a good one).
If you’ve never walked around the University of Washington campus, I can tell you that it is massive and beautiful. That might be worth checking out.
If you enjoy minging with eclectic (and sometimes fashinable) types, head up to Broadway on Capital Hill (directly above–and to the east–of the Seattle Center). Many trendy shops, lots of gay residents and visitors, an interesting mix of people–many of whom are in your age group.
