What are some great, yet inexpensive hotels in the Seattle, Washington area? I am not looking to stay at the Hilton or Westin. I like a hotel that is reasonable, but nice, clean and convenient to shops and restaurants.

i’ll be going to seattle for vacation in late May to early June and would like to know which hotels are good and affordable to stay at. i prefer hotels closest to the tourist attractions, yet provide shuttle transportation to and from Sea-Tac. also any passes that are offered that i can purchase so that i can get around easily around town. i would like to book my hotel as soon as possible so if you know any post it. thanks in advance.

i’m travelling to Seattle and Vanouver and planning on staying in hotel. I’ll get a rental car in Seattle so i can drive around…and wonder which area of hotels is safe there. in vancouver i will reply on public transportation. so which area is good to stay in terms of safety and convenience. thanks.
