Question by Dan: What is the traffic like in or aroudn the area of Seattle, Washington?
I’ve been doing some research lately on Seattle. I live in Wisconsin and am hopefully looking to move to Washington here in the next few years. Please help me. Does anyone know what the traffic might be like. Is it a good idea to drive there or am I better off to just fly. I know that the drive alone from Wisconsin to Washington is a little over 2000 miles but I am willing to travel by vehicle. If anyone has any answers that would be Excellent. Thanks.

I live near there. It really all depends it can take me anywhere from a half hour to 3 hours to get to seatle. It really depends on the time of day and if there are any accidents or road work.

Question by alicele: What hiking trails are really open during winter times in Seattle area?
Hi!
The Mountain Loop Hwy is closed, so many of the hiking trails are out of reach. Many people said the Boulder River Trail is great this time of the year but it’s not: I’ve been there twice now and there is too much snow.

Are there any trails in winter (untill May) still open? I don’t mind driving a few hours.

I believe most of the lower trails in the Olympic National Park are open. The Storm King starting point west of Port Angeles has multiple trails starting there (including the easy 30 minute Marymere Falls trail), and it takes less than 2 hours to reach from Seattle via ferry from Seattle or Edmonds and drive across Hood Canal Bridge and through Sequim and Port Angeles).

We are planning to do a camping trip next week to see the Perseid meteor shower. Any suggestions
which campground near Seattle (about 1 hour driving) would have a clear view of the sky?

The further from man made lights the better. I would head up towards Snowqualmie Pass and get away from the interstate.

Question by Kyleigh: What is the weather like in the Seattle, Washington Area?
I would like to live in Seattle but I would like to get to know more about the weather such as how much rain? Is it always cloudy? What are the summers like there? How much sunshine do you guys recieve? I live in California right now and I really like the rain, would the transition to Seattle be easy or hard?

Question by Katherine: What hospital in the Seattle area is best to go to?
I am 6 months pregnant and my family is coming up to visit but they are planning on renting a hotel in the Seattle area. If while I am visiting them in the condo I go into labor. Which hospital would you highly recommend I go to in that area? Please only serious answers as I am not familiar with the Seattle area myself.
